Trek Itinerary:

Day 01:Islamabad

Arrive at Benazir Bhutto International airport Islamabad. Meet, assist & transfer to the hotel. AM at leisure. PM Islamabad city tour.

Our sightseeing tour will start from, Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian & National monument with a trip to Damn-e-Koh, to catch an eye bird view of the twin cities. Overnight at the hotel. (No meals).

Day 02:Islamabad-Chilas

After breakfast drive to Chilas.

Chilas was on the ancient caravan track over the Babusar Pass into India and on the Indus trail of Besham, and many rock engravings/impressions were left by travelers in this area. Chilas is standing under the shadow of world famous Killer Mountain Nanga Parbat. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 03: Chilas-Karimabad

After breakfast drive to Karimabad.

Karimabad is the delightful old capital of the Hunza Kingdom. From Karimabad, with its souvenir shop, post office and tea shop, you can obtain a magnificent view of the valley laid out below you and of the peaks behind. The Aliabad/Karimabad area is scattered with wild flowers and blossoming fruit orchards. We will spend half our day in these two towns enjoying the greenery. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 04: Karimabad-Passu (7,855 ft / 2,400 m)

After breakfast drive to Passu.

Transfer by Jeep to Attabad Lake Spillway to cross the Lake by motor boat. Then continue drive to Batura Bridge, while traveling we will stop at Ghulkin glacier, and you can walk a short distance onto the glacier. This will take 2 hours to reach Passu. The dry scenery on the way to Passu is frequently busted by lush green fields and sprinkling mountain stream, the scenery presents a mesmerizing remembrance that will be captured in your mind’s eye forever. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 05: Passu-Yunzbin (9,425 ft / 2,880 m)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast trek to Yunzbin.

Passu is away from Gulmit is only 14 kilometers and 4-5 hours walk beyond Gulmit. Passu is also known as Village of Mountain guides and farmers. This is a starting point of climbing expeditions up to Batura, Passu, Kuk & Lupgar collection of peaks, and trekking trips up the Shimshal Valley and Batura Glacier. A steep trail go ahead downward to Yunzbin, the first camp of Batura Trek, Cross the Passu white glacier from where one can view the 7000 meter plus mountains of Shishpare, Passu I and Passu II can be visible. We then cross the Yunzbin, next to the Batura Glacier, the world’s 3rd longest glacier outside the Polar Regions. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 06: Yunzbin-Yashpirt (10, 475 ft / 3,200 m)

Breakfast in the camp. After breakfast trek to Yashpirt.

Start trek on Batura Glacier to Yashpirt. This trek will take 3-4 hours to reach Yashpirt. Turn the north side to across glacier, then continue to west follow the glacier imaginative path up to Yashpirt, this is a summer village where shepherd come with sheep, goats, cows and Yaks. This grassing land with juniper trees, berberis and spirea and wild roses encircled the village. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 07: Yashpirt-Kukhil (11,455 ft / 3,500 m)

Breakfast in the camp at Yashpirt. After breakfast trek to Kukhil.

It takes one hour to 1.5 hours, a gorgeous walk along a water flow between the side moraine and the mountain. Kukhil, a small summer settlement with a few huts and a goat pen, is used in August & September. The mountains are covered in juniper and there is a good campsite at the side of the stream. From the top of the side moraine you have superb views up & down the Batura Glacier. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 08: Kukhil-Guchism (11,880 ft / 3,630 m)

Breakfast in the camp at Kukhil. After breakfast trek to Guchism.

This trek will take 3-4 hours. It is the last summer settlement up the Batura Glacier, has 13 shepherd huts scattered encircling a goat pen near the stream. It is cold here at night, but from the top there are clear views of the Batura and Passu peaks in one direction and the Kuksar Range in the other. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 09: Guchism Lupdor excursion (11,880 ft / 3,630 m)

After breakfast full day excursion to Lupdor.

The valley full of flowers ends at Lupdor, two hours beyond Guchism which is 20 kms from the muzzle of the glacier. From here on the only way is on the glacier. There is a technical trek northside from Lupdor which is over a (5,200 m) pass up to Chapursan Valley. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 10: Guchism-Fatmahil (11,130 ft / 3,400 m)

After breakfast trek to Fatmahil.

Putmahal (Fatmahil), 2 hours easy trek upstream from Yashpirt, a collection of many abandoned shepherds’ shed at the entrance of a side gorge opposite the First Batura Iceflow, stones wested down from the gully now cover the field in front of the sheds. A small number of peaks populars survive at the boundary, roses and juniper bushes point the hillside. There are now few women in the summer grazing land that Fatmahil is no longer used apart from by trekkers. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 11: Fatmahil-Yashpirt (10, 475 ft / 3,200 m)

Breakfast at the camp. After breakfast trek back to Yashpirt. Overnight in tents. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 12: Yashpirt-Batura Bridge Passu-Karimabad

After breakfast trek to Batura Bridge Passu & transfer to Gulmit to cross the Attabad Lake via motor boats. From Attabad Lake Spillway transfer to Karimabad by Willy Jeep.

Karimabad is the charming old capital of the Hunza, with its souvenir shops, post office and tea shops; you can get a wonderful view of the valley down side and of the peaks at the back of Karimabad. Karimabad area is scattered with uncultivated flowers and blossoming fruit orchards. Spend half of the day in the town enjoying the greenery and enjoyment in the sound of flowing streams. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 13: Karimabad-Chilas

After breakfast drive to Chilas.

This journey will take us in 8-9 hours to Chilas. Chilas was on the ancient caravan track over the Babusar Pass into India and on the Indus trail of Besham, and many rock engravings/impressions were left by travelers in this area. Chilas is standing under the shadow of world famous Killer Mountain Nanga Parbat. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 14: Chilas-Islamabad

Morning breakfast at the hotel.

Start traveling from chilas to Islamabad via Karakarum Highway through Besham. Contniue drive to Islamabad. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. (Breakfast only).

Day 15: Islamabad

Transfer to Benazir International airport Islamabad for your home bound flight. (Breakfast only).
